Chennai automen - Most irritating people in the world!!

I've got sick of these Chennai auto - men! They are the 'real criminals' in the whole world. In fact we all encourage them by giving them money. [being criminal no2 ourselves]

Incident no 1:

> After the meter rule, i took an auto in Kodambakkam. From there to Mylapore, he asked me 80 bucks!! I asked to put meter, as they have imposed the rule. His reply,

"Government rule vepan, vekamaatan... ada po ma... ellaruma meter vachikuta irruganga"

I felt like dragging him to the police station... I kept on bargaining, he came down from 80 to 70. I left, and try looking for another auto. Then he came for 60. Due to personal reasons had to take that B****Y AUTO!!

Incident No 2:

> From Alwarpet to Mylapore, Rs. 50 bucks.

I asked him, what nonsense...its too much,

His reply,

" Petrol velai eriruchu ma, idhu correct aana vela" [am supposed to say that a*****e]

It's was raining, I was still waiting for an auto who asks for the correct Rupees!

After much arguments with this auto who came next, I went for 25!

What the B****y?

It's really a 'sad' issue! From the day 1 in my 'chennai' life I've never seen a guy put on the meter. They commit a crime without any fear of government.

In fact in Bangalore, Hyderabad and all they put meter and follow a proper system... Here only they fuss for everything! From switching on the meter to wearing helmets, they don't stick to any rule properly! They will say the 'rule is on' and the next day 'rule is off'!! For the auto issue it's still worse! It came in the end of the page 'a two column importance'!

Sometimes I feel, our government should act like a 'Head-Mistress'....being very strict and putting things in order..! But am sure this can all be 'only' a dream! Who is sincere and dedicated in this world to expect the government to be?! It happens even in the class for a project?!How many of them work sincerely?

After a all, in a class project people will work in the ration of 2:4 or 2:5!! How can I even expect government to act like that! When i was reading constitution paper this semester, my friends n I even planned to file a case against this! And you know, it all ended up only in discussion!!

A 'change' in this to come to pass.... I dunno how many years it will take...! Lets see...

Post script: I wish all the people who read this blog, fight against this & help make a change... Thank you:-)

Blore Boulevard - the broken beauty:-(

Well, Well, am gonna write about something I really loved. I mean the word L.O.V.E.D.

The most beautiful place in Blore [If you'd ask me, I would say the most beautiful place I love to be!] With trees on the side, benches to have romantic talks, for the old man to view the other side of the city, a dream of a girl to join Times of India which is right opposite to where she's seated[You can take a guess!!] .....

Haven't you guessed yet?

*Mg Road Boulevard in Bangalore*

The boulevard is gonna be no more.. They have already started demolishing it. During my internship the issue of demolishing it came up. After 5 years of metro rail project talks in blore, they are gonna start their work! That too in the place of the beautiful boulevard!

Myself and another reporter when to do vox-pop[Voice your views].I saw so many people having myriad memories of that place. Am sure the people there would miss. But its really sad[pathetic!] to see the tress being cut down, the road being emptied and on. I felt like 'gawd, they are killing it, killing it in front of me'.

One might think what is so special in that place? The answer - it feels heaven! I remember going to that place often when I was a kid. My dad lowes Mg road, he often takes me and my sister for a walk there. I didn't realize the beauty then.

Later when I grew up, again the three of us went. My dad always had something nice to say when we walk there. We used to sit in those benches, look at the traffic, other happenings and chat about his nostalgic memories with his friends there.

It feels so good you know. The place is very old and been in Bangalore for ages. I heard so the British wanted to put up the lane on the other side of Mg road. It's a landmark for Bangalore. Mg road being one of the busiest and happening place in the city, this place is noticed so much. With busy traffic in one side, other side a beautiful lane of trees and benches on the side! Can you imagine a place like that now?

When it rains you have place for shelter, when it's too hot also its the same. Sweet talks, old memories, a walk from there to cubbon park.... Gawd am gonna miss it so much. Am sure my dad will miss so much more than I.

The St. George Cathedral in Nungambakkam, Madras gives me peace. It's the same for me in Bangalore. This place gives me peace, it's not that I don't have in home or elsewhere. I can see peace, feel it in the midst of so much traffic and noise, it makes me feel so good like how an early morning walk in the beach is!

I used to dream sitting in that place, thinking may be few years from now, I should meet my Mr. Right and spend some time [BG-ne amridhadhare song], then after a few years bring my friends to spend some nice time, and then with my family and on. It might sound stupid, kiddish or even dramatic! But that's not all it is, its the way nature & beauty makes me feel!:-)

Though people say, after the construction they will planting trees and re-constructing it again. But that's all gonna be after 5 years from now! I dunno where I will be, I dunno if the old charm can be brought again!

All I have with me now is the *memories*memories*memories*!

I dream now---It will be back one day:)
